As part of the ReCiPSS project, the white goods demonstrator Gorenje has developed a new smart WiFi-connected washing machine under the ASKO Professional brand with integrated sensors that monitor washing machines’ operating conditions in real-time. ASKO washing machines are able to self-detect and monitor the operational data which is then used to give advice on energy saving and (thus) money with each wash. Furthermore, the data would enable ASKO to monitor the technical status of the washing machines and do the billing for pay-per-use service. The washing machine will offer 28 available washing programs. Three of these are special programs, which can even be customized by the user and adapted according to any specific laundry load, soiling and delicacy. The ASKO washing machines are now in production at Gorenje’s factory in Velenje, Slovenia. These Washing machines are going to be deployed to demonstrate Gorenje’s Circular Business Model.
